Hi! Maybe some of you have the answer to my question Smile
I have a Korg Volca Keys connected to a Midi keyboard and this one to the Usb of a laptop.
(I run with Logic Pro and the old Mbox1).
So, I open a Midi track in Logic, and when I record directly from the Midi keyboard everything works fine, but, when I want to record from the Volca, it only records to the audio track (that I previously opened).
I would like to record the sequences of the Korg to the Midi track (and not only to the audio track).
I don't know if that is impossible or it's just that I have to configure a different thing in Logic ¿?
I'm all ears Wink

Thank you so much,

I might be misunderstanding but it sounds like you want to get the sequence midi information out of the volca keys? If so you will need to get a midi out port fitted into it (these are available and apparently relatively easy to fit) otherwise the only thing coming out of the volca keys is audio.

and even then maybe the sequencer will not output the midi - be sure to check with whoever does the mod.

pressing the keys to create midi and getting midi out from a sequencer are 2 different prospects.

Thanks for your answers.
Exactly, I would like to have the sequence Midi information of the Volca in a Midi track. But if I understand: no Midi out, no Midi info.
So, is not possible to edit the sequences of the Korg Volca Keys with a music software.

Of course you can do it the other way round, as you can send midi information to the volcas and they will happily play sequences entered into the DAW. (and I believe you can even leave the motion sequences in place for the filter changes and delete the notes so that the blank sequence is 'played' from the notes in logic but using the recorded filter changes in the volca sequence etc) hope this makes sense.
