how about sampling your own volca keys.

Record with Audacity or something similar then tidy up and edit the samples and import them into the Volca sample

I've been playing around with it and it adds whole new dimensions to the keys sounds by manipulating the samples and messing around with the loop, start, end etc.

I want to keep a lot of the default samples, but add my own too.

i see in caustic editor that it says 90% full. does that mean i don't need to delete any default samples yet?

how easy is it to pick and choose what default samples you want to delete? can you keep some and deleted others?

i see you can't preview default samples in caustic, only your own...

Caustic editor seems pretty easy to use once you get the sound levels right as the volca sample doesnt like Dolby , Beats etc.
You can replace samples one at a time or in groups by loading them into the editor and then highlight the 'two little arrows' symbol between the cross and the waveform icons. Next gap on sync to send them to the volca sample. If you highlight the cross symbol instead it should delete the sample in the equivalent slot on the Volca sample when you click on sync ( I think this is right anyway Very Happy )
