I am thinking of adding a Midi In mod to my Monotribe using a 3.5mm jack, which can then interface directly with my Electribe 2. Does anyone have any experience of this? I am a total noob to electronics / modding and have read Gameboy Genius' blog on Midi Modding the Monotribe but it makes almost no sense to me!:

Am I out of my depth? Confused

I modded mine with DinTribe. It should be similar. I am not electronic wiz but it was a straight forward process.
Pull feet off.Unscrew.
Move front of base up towards back.
Socket should be on left.unplug original(obviously know what colours).attach mod.plug original to mod.
Jam in .
Etc.
Make a hole by power socket on case seemed the most fiddly bit.

Dintribe looks just my level of simplicity! Where can I get in UK? Google provides surprisingly few returns.

I think it was under USBTribe. It was UK.

I should mention a quirk with Monotribe Midi Mod.
It plays back at double tempo. There are plenty of work arounds but it may effect your work flow. This is just midi clock so no problem if you will sequence from the E2.
