Hi all,

I have an SP-170 which is about 5 years old.

Today it started not sounding some keys. For example all the 'A' keys, except for the bottom A do not sound. The same can be said for the F's.

Does anyone know what it could be?

Best regards

Chris

Hi, I have the same problem with 3 notes of octaves 5, 6 and 7: the C sharp's, the F's and A's, so 9 keys in total are no sounding.

Could you fix the problem? any clues about the solution? (dust, maybe some cleaning or something else in the electronics?)

Thanks!

It is possible one of the ribbon interconnect cables needs reseating. It's probably worth doing to all of the cables. The key contacts have a habit of wearing out, but that tends to affect notes randomly, rather than affecting the same note across several octaves.
