Maybe it's been written here before. If not, maybe someone will find this helpful. To sync the Volca with Reason ( or any DAW ) without using midi, you can use the internal sync signal. What i did was: i recorded a 1 bar loop from the Volca's sync out, amplify it and slice it into a dr.rex loop. In Reason, i created a Dr.Rex Loop Player and loaded this sample. Then you route the audio to a separate channel in Reason's hardware interface. From there all you have to do is connect that output from your soundcard to the sync in jack on your volca. Be sure it's a separate output and it's not going trough the main mix channels, or you will hear the pulse, and you don't want that. You can then create a audio track and record the volca into Reason. From there you can slice it, stretch it, apply effects and do all kind of fancy stuff i saved this as a template and i am ready to go everytime i open reason. Oh and, why i did use dr rex slices: when you change the tempo in Reason, the volca is in perfect sync. I hope this helps |

Yeah that's pretty cool, might have to get me a volca sample soon. Would be great to get sounds off my iPad, rejig them in the sample, and then move them into reason _________________ Korg gear : EMX1SD, Volca Sample, DS-10
