|
|
Hi,
This is currently my setup:
- Korg Kronos (obviously)
- Access Virus desktop connected using a traditional MIDI cable (Kronos MIDI OUT -> Virus MIDI IN)
- Roland AX keytar connected over wireless MIDI
I can play sounds on the Virus in Combination-mode when I configure a part on channel 2 and set it to EXT or EXT2.
Now I'd like to layer sounds from both the Kronos and the Virus and play on my keytar. I can only play the internal Kronos sounds using the keytar. Is there a way to forward the MIDI notes coming from the keytar to channel 2 of the Virus ?
I've been fiddling with karma (it has a Thru function) but no luck so far... _________________ Old gig setup: Yamaha S90, Roland Fantom XR, Hammond XM-1, M-Audio Axiom 61

Nope, it won't work without additional hardware. The Kronos doesn't support it. I get around it by using an iConnectMIDI4+ in my rack - you could also do the same thing with a MIDI Thru box. _________________ ::: Korg Kronos 88 ::: Alesis Fusion 8HD ::: Kurzweil PC361 ::: Roland V-Synth ::: DSI Prophet 12 ::: DSI OB-6 ::: Korg Prophecy ::: Moog Micromoog ::: Yamaha CP-30 ::: Alesis Andromeda ::: Moog Sub37 ::: Sequential Prophet 600 ::: Korg MS2000BR ::: GSI Burn :::
