|
|
Hi, I have recently bought a Nautilus and am trying to find out which multisamples a Kronos program uses. Some sounds form the Kronos have been duplicated on the Nautilus but I want to copy some others.
I have used the Korg Editor but under the OSC 1 Pitch screen it doesn't list the multisamples as I'm guessing it requires a connected Kronos
Is there any program or list available where I can get this info? |

Thanks for the reply, I have the list of voice names etc, but I need to know which samples are used within a specific program, if that makes sense. Its under the OSC1 pitch screen, and in the editor it says unknown as I don't have a kronos plugged in.
E.g. select program 'A Day In The Life' piano, under OSC1 pitch screen it lists the samples used in that sound, but they are coming up as unknown in the editor
I just wondered if there's anywhere else I can get that info. |

Hi pajc72 and welcome to the forum,
Indeed the voice name list is useless for this and there is no program which can give you this info easily. Actually, TidyKronos can but it's a bit complicated and you would need the Kronos 1 or 2 factory PCG file, which I suppose you don't have.
I guess if you have only a couple of programs you want to know about, I could tell you what are the samples used. Note that most of the Nautilus samples are exactly the same as in the Kronos, but many of them were renamed, so it might be tricky for you to find which Nautilus one corresponds to his Kronos twin. |

There is a tricky procedure to find multisamples of EXs that a Program uses except by default loaded "Rom" samples.
- Go to Global / Preload / uncheck Preload.KSC and every checked .KSC file you might have there.
- Click on button Auto-Load Now , this will unload all EXs samples and will empty Ram.
- Go to wanted Program and from upper arrow of screen menu select function load all required samples (only necessary samples)
- Go to Global/samples management and see of what EXs multisamples have been loaded.
In the same way you can select many other Programs you need , load required samples too and when done , save in sampling
mode a KSC file with all required resources concerning only those Programs you have selected.
Hope this helps _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

Thanks for the replies
I do have all the factory preload files, and have emailed the author to get a download link for TidyKronos, but no reply yet. I think once I get TidyKronos it'll give me what I need, if I can get a copy of it! Cheers |
