Hi, I've just finished assembling my ms20m but I think I have some problems with the LFO. I thought the LFO was prepatched to the VCOs and filters but the MG/t.ext knobs have no effect. If I patch the square wave from the LFO into Total it works, but not if I patch the triangle wave? I've never played an ms20 before so maybe I am making some obvious mistake? Can anyone tell me if there is a problem with my ms20 because apart from this issue everything else seems to work fine and I really love this synth! Thanks

Don't patch anything.
FM Off.
Set both filters cutoff to 5 (give it some elbow room to modulate)
Crank up the MG/T.Ext (how much it's allowed to effect the target)
Mess with MG frequency knob (hear your changes)

FM switch:
Check the documentation about how the FM switch ON changes the behavior of Frequency Modulation sections (only) MG/T.Ext knob. With FM switch on it adjusts how VCO 1 modulates VCO 2 (unique to the M).

Tutorials:
Then go watch all these videos https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3D3721AB90972CB5 99% of them apply to the M.

Welcome.

This is what makes me think my unit has a problem as when I do this there is no modulation of the sound.

With the FM switch on everything works as expected.

Thanks for the link, I watched these (and many other) videos before deciding to buy the kit. I will take the synth apart again at the weekend but I don't think these problems could come from something simple like an unplugged cable.

Hmmm. I'm wondering if all your wiring harnesses are connected then. Good luck.
