Great acid track!!! Correct me if I'm wrong but, the e2 is only playing drums right? I see you adjusting the KaossPad and it filtered and adjusted the volume of the acid sound but not the drums. Is the KaossPad a sampler too? |
Thanks, every sound comes from the electribe, so the baselines too. The korg quad is used for effects, but I think it was a coincidence what you saw. With distorted acid bass lines minor tweaks can have a huge impact on the sound. |

Nice one roblabs, that throbbed along very nicely and was mesmerising with the video. They don't make 'em like that anymore!! _________________ If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Hi guys, new to this forum (and new to the Korg world, actually)... I bought the electribe 2 as a cheap toy to play with when not at the studio, and it quickly ended up being the center of my live setup, the other big piece being my good old octatrack. This is the first recording I made after the first week with the E2:

Sounds are only from the E2, the OT being used as a looper and FX processor for the transitions between patterns. I am now working on a bigger setup with external synths (virus C and dark energy), MIDI controlled by the E2 and fed into the OT for live sampling and processing. _________________ https://soundcloud.com/olasek-1 |

Were the patterns played via midi? The sound's pretty good (if you like that sort of thing ) _________________ Korg MonoPoly, APC 20, Ableton Live, NI Massive, Bass Station rack. |

Yes, played them via midi with FL Studio. I recorded notes into the Electribe at first but 4 bars was not long enough. And at half speed you loose a bunch of notes when you record melodies with lots of notes. |
