M3 Xpanded - PSoc update error

My M3 73 Xpanded is frozen on start up, and says "updating left panel" then, "updating right panel" then it says "PSoC update error has occurred"

I've tried the (Reset +1+2 on start up) numerous times, but still same error.

Also I noted that on start up the display does not say "Xpanded"

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try M3 Test mode
How to enter the test mode
-Tset mode to confirm that the keybed is not connected when to use as M3-M
Turn the power on pressing ENTER + 6
-Full inspection mode

You should contact Korg US or Canada, and talk to there IT support. also send them email.
There should be a way to boot as back door to the operating system in M3. If i find any thing related to your issue in the meantime, will let you know.

Try removing the flash card and reinstall if you haven't already..

Yes tried removing & re-installing the SD card, still no go, same error.

Perhaps I should get a new SD card and reload the Xpanded v2 OS on to it and see if that will work, anyone know where I can find it and the procedure?
My M3 was updated to Xpanded when I bought it.

Not sure exactly how you'd do this but this information is from the Karma-lab board. I would imagine you could download the latest OS and after it's decompressed compare the files on your M3 flash card with the ones from the OS. Then with a new card, format and copy the expanded files over. There may be the issue of the card being bootable with FAT 16 or 32, I don't know for sure.

Removed the Module from the key bed and opened her up. Needed to be opened up a little further then I usually do, but eventually found the SD card, which was securely in its socket. Removed it and reinserted. Powered up and.. same error.

For those who are curious..

The card is FAT formatted. Made a copy to my PC. As I saw two BAK files, I changed them to BIN and vice versa. Too see whether the old version of these files would relieve me of my problem.. No such thing.. same problem. Reversed the change and guess, I will close up and visit my dealer tomorrow. Sigh..
I guess, the KDF file is going to be the basis for some nice things to come.. (?)

Recently got my M3 back from Korg Canada , the issue was a cold solder joint on one of the PCB's, cost - $150 CDN including shipping , not too bad.
Glad to say the touch screen is working 100% again.....yahoo!
Sadly I have misplaced the documentation that came with the replacement screen that had a link to a bunch of new patches & multies , anyone know about the link I'm referring to?
