I think that with the 2 digital inputs, one could easily bus the DAW into the M3 and set the global audio parameters to monitor the signal. Sorta clumsy but should be quite usable - for me anyway.

M3 firewire

Am going to buy this option regardless, but would love to know more about it. Does anyone know if you will be able to send your DAW outs back to the M3 via Firewire? The few comments I've read on the Korg site suggest one way operation from the M3 to DAW...

XVamp I bought and returned a K2661 right before getting the M3. Since the soundset on the PC3 will largely be the same I think I can give you a reasonable response. If (big if) Kurz actually makes VAST more accessible as some info has hinted at, the Kurz could be an everyboard killer. My major ...

Think nord electro/nord stage soundsets. Heavy on EPs, Organs plus some mellotron! and some classic synth patches like haunting theremins, choirs.

Looking forward to the release.

A little clarification on the Kurz polyphony - one voice PER layer. Depending on the algorithm, one may use multiple oscillators per layer which is how they get the huge oscillator count. Triple mode uses 3 voices per note. So if a massive lead uses 10 layers, one may have tons of oscillators but ...
