I think that with the 2 digital inputs, one could easily bus the DAW into the M3 and set the global audio parameters to monitor the signal. Sorta clumsy but should be quite usable - for me anyway.

M3 firewire
Am going to buy this option regardless, but would love to know more about it. Does anyone know if you will be able to send your DAW outs back to the M3 via Firewire? The few comments I've read on the Korg site suggest one way operation from the M3 to DAW...

A little clarification on the Kurz polyphony - one voice PER layer. Depending on the algorithm, one may use multiple oscillators per layer which is how they get the huge oscillator count. Triple mode uses 3 voices per note. So if a massive lead uses 10 layers, one may have tons of oscillators but ...
