Re: Electribe Synth Contest 2 - Horror Edition

If it's a bunch of body parts I'm gonna be very upset. Actually, if it's for the body of a Mercedes Benz 300E I can use them. A little fender-bender has my left, front turn signal out and the headlight hanging on for dear life. Didn't I hear the Denver PD are looking for a Merc that was involved in ...

I've searchged the manual, the only thing I can find about omni mode refers to control change events. There doesnt seem to be any explaination of what it is or which menu to find it in. The MIDI section details how to assign MIDI out channels but I can't see anything about sorting MIDI in. I'm ...

E2 Individual MIDI out Channels

It seems there's no way to isolate a single part's MIDI out. When I record into the RS 7000 the E2 sends any sequenced notes from every part to the same MIDI sequence/part on the RS (kick, snare, bass ect. all inputting their MIDI into one track). I would expect that even though the E2's MIDI channels ...

It works well. You'll want some outboard FX for the BS2, maybe a Kaoss Pad. I'm using the crappy FX on my DDM4000 mixer here but it sounds alright.

And, I've said this elsewhere but FYI, here's a way to write arppegiated patterns: Have Live send midi to the E2 with an arp device set up on the Live track. Then just hit record on the tribe and then play on ableton. This programes the arpeggiated pattern into the E2 perfectly, no jitter evident ...

If you have the money to by a re-clock device (like the innerclock Sync-Gen II) you could sequence the E2 with Live, but if you don't, you'll get a jittering mess that needs to be configured every time you set up. This left me using your first option along with automated effects in Live (in lieu of ...

On like Voltron.
This is how you play the E2.
I was gonna practice until I could pull it off, but I'm way too lazy...
Santa better bring me that RS7000.

I know bugger all about the SP-303, I dont even know much about samplers/sampling but it sounds like your issue is with the range of the SP-303. If a machine is capable of playing MIDI notes 0-127, that should correspond to C -1 through G 09 (10+ octaves).

Mine was fine when it arrived but now it's developed all these bits of tobacco, ash and black resiny stuff in between the buttons and the case. I'm new to hardware, is this normal?

The sequencer range would sugest 10, if I'm understanding you.

This makes me remember another post where someone said this is 2 less than the EMX-1, which would be interesting, since 10 should cover the audible human range. Did this mean that the any of the EMX-1's oscillators could go sub bass?

Old tapes need tracklistings

Nothing to do with the price of Korgs but...
Ive got some old tapes full of great tracks from 15-20 years ago. Some tracks have become classics, others are just as good but remained obscure.

I've put this one up to start:

Can anyone help fill in the blanks?

Manufacturing consent, my ass. PT Barnum is entirely the more appropriate - and practical - philosopher in this case. FYI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paragraph On the point of the tribe, I was only talking about what it is/can be, not what it claims to be. I was pissed off, like everyone, that ...

I love how controversial threads get the most responses and views. It's an ethos that underpins the capitalist media. The result is billions of dollars and the manufacturing of consent to enslave your mind and mine your sweat. Aguing about opinion is a distraction from philosophising about justice ...
