I have my Octatrack for a month or two now. And i must say: sequencing the e2 with the octa is serious fun. Up to 10 midi ccs per track via midi learn which can be plocked plus three additional midi lfo's per track. Independent track lengths so 8 or 16 bars no problem (with reduced step resolution ...

Is anyone on here using the e2 together with the Octatrack? I 'm seriously considering an octa but i still need some justification for my purchase. Is this a good duo? What is your workflow (sequencing the e2 with octa, capturing e2 loops and process them with octa,...)

For a simple 4/4 beat you can use the offbeat groove template as a kind of sidechain compression.

That's fantastic actually. Can you use the patterns on the e2 or are these sampler only?

They could improve the workflow on so many levels with just a few simple firmware adjustments...

Thanks Ted, seems pretty time consuming to get a good result though... Would be great if korg implemented an easy way to achieve this (only glide on tied notes). Or maybe i should consider a tb3

Step jump motion REC does not work with glide on mine because if i hold a pad for step jump and press shift it goes to the shortcut applied to that pad... Ted3000 i remember in your acid test vid you managed to create a 303 style bassline with slides. How did you achieve slides? With motion ...

A reverb bus would be ok i guess. That way you could also use the mfx for something different.

Good suggestions. It would be nice if the screen would provide you with Some visual feedback of knob movements like adsr curve, effect parameter type and values, osc edit type and values,...

Some on-screen visual feedback would be really handy for this.
