pa600 sound vs pa900 sound

Does anyone here compared pa600's sounds and drums with pa900's.

Are they the same in quality.

Good drum kits for PA600

Hello guys, I am not happy with the drum kit sounds available in PA600. Don't know if it is only me, or do you guys agree. May be we can modify it, but out of the box I don't feel they are very good, feel like too much low frequency (dull). Anyone have a clue of some good drum kits. How about ...

I'm pretty sure they can read patch scripts. You just have to put them in the right place and they will show up on the list when you create a new midi device. They always could and I think they still do. Thanks mate. Yes it can be done. I was trying to import the setup, for which it requires a XML ...

A patch script is a text file, I think the xml files are for devices maybe. I think Thoraldus made some on the 600 http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=93715&sid=59f2c38a0449eff2001d27262fe88b7a Thanks for that info. Cubase expects it in xml format. The above one is not for cubase ...

Patch Script for Cubase

Has anyone got the patch script (XML File) for PA600 to work with Cubase please. I know the PA3X patch script is very close to the PA600, but it has additional entries. Manually modifying it using Cubase while comparing with the PA600 reference guide is a hectic task. If someone generously can share ...

Style Elements' Length

I am trying to find the length of each style element in Bars. For example intro 3 is 1 bar long, Ending 3 is 1 bar long etc.

Could not find anything in the reference.

Is it the same in all the styles or does it change from style to style?

Thanks guys.

I am going to settle with Cubase Elements 8. It has a very easy way of sending MIDI messages. I could exactly do what is shown in the video in the original post, and use the same technique in the sequencer mode, so that I can record it in PA.

Thanks everyone for advice. :)

Selecting style elements of PA600 using FLStudio

Hello everyone, This is more of FLStudio related question rather than PA600. What I am trying to achieve is to use DAW to send the code progression and style element selection to PA600 and record it in PA600 using backing sequence (Quick Record). I feel it more accurate and easy to edit with DAW UI ...

Roy, DAWs do NOT come with Styles. Also you do NOT need to buy sounds either. You can simply midi your DAW to the keyboard and use your keyboard as a sound module. Check out Reaper. Looks like a lot of people are happy with it. I think it has a demo/trial version too. Thanks Sam, Do you know if ...

Applying a style to a track with chords

I got a midi file only with one track, which has some code progression. Please see the MIDI file in this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/03trb0hymkqnlqd/Chords%20track.mid?dl=0 Is it possible to apply a PA600 style on top of this MIDI file so that it follows the codes in above mentioned track and at ...

Which DAW For PA600

Need an advice please. I am thinking of buying a DAW to work with my PA600. At the moment I use Anvil Studio, which is free. I purchased the patch library for PA600 from them and I can select PA sounds when editing MIDI files. Basically my requirements are below. I am not an expert of playing the ...
