I've opened my M50 but there are not that many connectors, and the one from the display are not disconnectable. Which connectors exactly did you reconnect (and what do you mean with 'turned around connectors to make more tension on wire harnesses'? What I did was disconnecting all these white ...

Now my M50 freezes after about 1 minute after startup.

When I have some time I'm going to try this solution; thanks for sharing!
I didn't have any messages, so it might be something else in your case. But it never hurts to try.

I started a new topic because I thought that this info may be useful. Looks like I fixed freezing problem with my Korg M50 88. I spoke with Korg's serviceman, he told me that in 90% of cases with M50's freezing problem is caused by wiring harness connectors from center circuit board to right or left ...

Update

Looks like I fixed freezing problem with my Korg M50 88. I spoke with Korg's serviceman, he told me that in 90% of cases with M50's freezing problem is caused by wiring harness connectors from center circuit board to right or left panel circuit boards. Wires are often too loose in those little ...

61 keys. I need to further investigate, but disconnecting a electric radiator that was sharing the same AC socket seems to have solved the issue. I spent a couple of solid hours rehearsing all combis with no freezes. That is really interesting what you wrote... I updated the OS to 1.1.0 and I was ...

Well mine just started with that issue a couple of weeks ago. Symptoms are the same that everyone else is reporting. I've been using it since late 2008 with no problems whatsoever. The only thing that has changed is that I've moved to another house, the room is colder and the electric wiring is ...

It was a typo  I spent $1.800 on my Korg at Sam Ash store back in 2009. I'm still thinking it was kind of expensive.

Re: M50 "capacitor issue"

Hay I think I replied to you on Karma Labs. Are you in Poland now? If so same person. There appears to be a certain percentage of M50's that got a batch of bad caps and I sure hope Korg takes care of you. I have the super light weight 61 key M50 serial #006023 so it looks like I got one past that ...

Re: M50 buttons... press on bottom only!

Two of my chord buttons broke too. The buttons will last at LOT longer if you only press on the bottom of them because of the way they are designed and this is something all M50 owners should be aware of. Korg should have used better buttons for the chord buttons at the very least. I agree with you ...

M50 88 freezes

true, but many do visit forums and I've ONLY seen posts from 61 key owners. Find me just one 73 or 88 key owner with the same issue and I'll agree with ya. Promise. Korg M50 88 owner here... After 5 years of using the instrument started freezing constantly. Looking for solution to that. I never did ...

Korg M50 88 freezes, link to OS update needed.

My Korg freezes during playing or editing, pressing buttons, etc. Only keys are playable, nothing else works. Powering off and on sometimes helps but not always. I never updated OS because I didn't need to. I got it in 2009 brand new and it was great until now... I'm trying to find OS upgrade link ...
