Am I being really dumb or is there no way to briefly solo a part. A double press of mute+part gets me half way there but with no way to get back to the full pattern quickly.

Been trying to use the electribe with the sampler in Logic but it seems all the parts are transmitting on every MIDI channels. I've set the sampler in Logic to MIDI channel 16 and set the electribe to 16 but all parts are coming through. I've also tried several permutations of MIDI channel settings ...

Another vote for momentary part mute.

6) as suggested by bingkinbo 'momentary hold trigger' to select part without sounding it.

1) export performance recording to wav stems
2) fix the pops and clicks
3) fix phantom notes (I get parts sounding when I am unmuting them on measures where I have not sequenced them to sound)
4) let me turn off the disco lights
5) allow full mix to headphones and selected parts to audio out

Got myself one regardless. The manuals say the electribe can process note on/note off - is this how you attempted to control yours?

I've read of people using an FCB101 with the EMX1 no problem. Seems odd they'd take that function away.

So I guess that the complex wave forms I've heard on some demo are multiple oscillators set on different parts? Or is there some other way get some complex waves going on?

I've read that the EMX2 has 4 voices per part and 24 max. Does this mean I could set up up 4 oscillators on the same part?
