Buyer beware

Got my Kronos2 88 back in Feb or early March. Was defective out of the box (bad key), so sent it back to Sweetwater for a replacement. Every month they said they would have more in stock "in a month". Repeat this several times, fast forward to now, and I still don't have a kronos. No reason given ...

I sent my 88 back to SW a few months ago due to a squeaky key. Still haven't received my replacement. Today they just told me it will be June. No idea what the problem is but it is getting quite frustrating.

In reply to someone who asked, the key is F# below middle C. Just heard back from Sweetwater, they're just gonna swap out the kronos for another new one, they're expecting some more in stock "in a few days". Guess I won't get to try my WD-40 solution after all. ;-) (that's a joke) Thanks for all the ...

Let's consider. This is a $4000 keyboard fresh on warranty
Yeah don't take me too seriously. I probably won't crack it open until I talk to tech support.

I looked at Kraft...I really liked their bundles, but I didn't really need em. I figured I'd stick with Sweetwater because I've ordered tons of things from them in the past. If it seems like it's going to take longer than a week, then I'll give Scott a call. Mine actually came from Sweetwater, got ...

I just looked at it again. If I push the key slightly to the right when pushing down, the squeak goes away. So whatever part is under there just needs to move a hair over for the problem to go away. Either that or I could just spray some WD-40 in there. ;-)

YOu should check the screws on the below side. Unscrew the big ones a litlle, put the Kronos on his back and retighten the screws. The keybed should have moved slightly and the fact of putting the K on the back will put the keybed where it has to go, tighten screws and see =) Hmm it's worth a shot ...

Yeah the packaging wasn't damaged at all, and it was double-boxed. I'm guessing this was a quality control issue, this should have been easily caught at the factory.

That's what FedEx had listed as the shipping weight. Feels about like 70lbs too.

New Kronos2-88 squeaky key :(

Finally got my brand new Kronos2 88-key yesterday, and one of the black keys right in the middle makes a squeaking sound and feels like it's rubbing on something through the entire travel of the key. Anyone know if there is an easy way to fix that without having to ship the whole thing back? I've ...
