Looks like it was something to do with the Global Midi Channel and the Keyboard Midi Channel. I've got it working how I want it to now!

Hi, I've just got a Microsampler and I've set up some samples with FX SW to on and others to off. When I trigger them locally (ie play them on the keyboard) the effect is only triggered on the samples I want them on.
