Sturn the tutter off

I was wrong about my wire connector theory. This is apparently a known issue and is caused by a transistor becoming loose. You can attempt the repair yourself by resoldering a component marked DT317. Look for the label "White Noise" and trace down from there and you are near it. Worked like a charm ...

carlostau is exactly right. I just performed the resoldering of DT317 and the issue was resolved.
