I came to the conclusion that the reason I haven't fell in love with my E2S is that it seems to be in an awkward place between a "workstation", a "sketchpad", and a performance device. The editing is too limited and annoying for me to use for in-depth editing of a composition if I really want to ...

I tried doubling an adventure kid waveform at 44.1, and then speeding it up to middle C as reported by audacity. It ended up being C4+5, which I tuned down on the electribe to + .8. Did you get closer with the Adobe software? Also if you want to host the re-formatted adventure kid files, he'd ...

Isn't 'Init Pattern' supposed to be completely empty?

I hadn't seen anyone else mention this... When I initialize a pattern on the E2S, it clears everything then leaves a 1 bar, whole note sequence on Part 9, set to OSC: Hippy. Is this a firmware bug, or a "helpful" "feature" to automatically lay down a kick drum for me? Easy enough to Clear Seq and ...

Many thanks. These editors are instantly essential.

There is one feature request I think of when I use this and e2sEdit: the ability to select multiple samples to drag and move around in the list, delete, or other operations.

Got to admit, as a happy owner of a number of korg instruments, for a $400 piece of gear this one does feel a little half-a$$ed.

With free time at work this afternoon, resampled the moog ones and some of the adventure kids ones to 48K, middle C. (Not sure if all of them are actually C4, but they are all C.) Had to do the moog ones individually because they are different lengths, but the adventure kid ones are all 600 samples ...

OK, figured out what I was going for... The sampler's native rate is 48k, and it assigns an imported sample to middle c, so a properly pitched waveform to import would be 48000 / 261.626 (middle c) = 183.468 samples. To get more accurate in the rounding off, you could double that to 366.936 samples ...

Cool, thanks :!: So far I only have been using the adventure kid and elektron samples, those seem to have zero crossings correct. What about tuning? I am guessing imported samples are assigned root note C4. It doesn't appear you can edit a sample's root note, are you tuning them by ear with the ...

Trying some of the factory patterns with the new samples there is no clicking, just with a basic rhythm pattern I made. I will have to see what was different about my pattern. Thanks for the suggestions. I found the moog samples on the elektron site. I've been browsing through the massive adventure ...

e2s: single cycle waveforms?

I have been trying to use single cycle waveforms as samples, wondering if anyone else has gone through this... import the wav, edit the loop point to 000 to make it fully loop. When I play in keyboard mode it sounds ok, but in a sequence there is lots of clicking going from step to step, not usable ...

At work I have to constantly switch between different electronics and software, then I get home to my music making stuff and every piece of music hardware and software has its own button combinations and shortcuts. I know eventually I will know the shortcuts but if you switch between synths often ...

some shortcut labels for e2s

Photoshopped a couple labels for shift shortcuts that I think Korg should have included: http://i.imgur.com/Xrejhzt.jpg Here is a 8 1/2" x 11" 300dpi JPG... print at original size and DPI for correct fit: http://i.imgur.com/hD95IGX I printed it on sticker paper, covered the label areas with a piece ...

Another thank you for taking the plunge into making an essential app for the e2s. (I donated too.) I wish I programmed so I could contribute, easy to imagine an editor/librarian with all sorts of tools to whip those sample and pattern files into shape. Also wish this forum had a setting to put ...
