Maybe you could buy a Kronos 61, program everything there and hire just any 88 controller keyboard you can find.

Re: Berlin Grand struggles

The release is too fast. I can edit this in the SGX-2 Engine, but when I do so the bass notes release way to long. One trick you might employ is to a duplicate the EXi1 Berlin Grand and put it in EXi2. Now split the two EXis edited with different release times. Busch. This is what I did in the end ...

Hi Pedro, thanks for the reply. No, I don't have this with the other pianos. The German Grand comes close to what I prefer. Just the tone of the Berlin is a little bit better to my ears. Brilliant, yet natural. I think it's a problem of the actual samples. The attack is very strong and afterwards ...

Berlin Grand struggles

First of all, I know, that piano sounds are always a matter of personal taste and it's hard to discuss about it... Anyway: I'm a big fan of the sound of the Berlin Grand. To my ears it's way more playable and yet "cutting through" than the other choices. But there are some points which I still can't ...

Yeah, I also came to the conclusion that the Furman is not what I need, as it provides no voltage regulation. An UPS would indeed be better.
We will see... the gig yesterday went fine, so I am waiting with taking any actions. If it happens again I will first check the RAM.

No, nothing else was connected. Just the Kronos itself. After rebooting all worked fine for the rest of the concert (min. 1 h). I had soundcheck this afternoon and everything worked fine. So, no idea what happened at the last show. I now plan to buy a Furman power conditioner to keep myself ...

Berlin Grand. Sounds brilliant, although the decay is a little too fast!

Firmware and OS are up to date.

Taking a look at the ram is not really possible as I am risking the warranty when opening it. But I would really like to... Maybe there's a service station close by.

Thanks for the replies... Do you really think it could be the RAM? The keyboard is only 2 weeks old and it never happened before. Currently I'm touring and playing it every night. Also, after the restart it played the whole show (1 hr) perfectly... If it was the RAM, wouldn't it have happened again ...

Kronos freeze, continuous tone

Hey guys, last night my Kronos 2 froze during a live show. I couldn't play anymore and the only thing coming out my Kronos was a continuous tone which sounded like a mainboard error signal. It was no hanging note as I was playing strings at the moment and the hanging tone was nothing string alike ...
