When you save a combi, the knob settings are retained as well, so all you need to do is save the combi while the knobs are turned all the way down, and then you're golden. It is possible for sure! Let's say you have COMBI with programs A000 - main sound, A001 - +7, A002 - +12. You should edit programs A001 and A002. You should set their volume to 0.
