So what is the answer. I believe it relates to the output voltage, i.e. volume matching between components, but have no basis for that belief....does anyone know?

That is fine, FAT32 allows files of 1 Gb so the Korg starts a new file. Each will be 1.07Gb except the last one. Just import them into Audiogate highlight them and click on combine.
