Heck the M50 outshines the krosss and you can pick one of them up fo a whole lot less. Thanks but no thanks on the kross. M50 has touch screen, joy stick, dual arps. The audio in on the kross is nothing but a novelty at best. Kind of a weird entry from korg. Is it a nice board yes .Does it make any ...

Pardon the bump but how about it's far cheaper? Some of us are on a budget and you have to make tough choices about where to draw the line.

All I must apologize. I thought the 61 came with the same keypad.......UGH I would not buy the 61 on a bet and have to deal w/those inferior keys! But I realize it's fine for some of you and that's great, again diff strokes and all that.

Funny, that's one of the things that attracted me to it. For one it isn't noisy like the Casios and Yamahas I've tried, and it's not as "bouncey" as they are, which I don't care for at all.

Diff strokes :)

Yes, I realize that, that's why I'm somewhat concerned......although looking at it from the other side, I have to wonder how often I would really notice a diff. After all, even if notes start to "drop off," it's not like I'll have notes I'm trying to hold forever anyway (at least rarely would that ...

Thx again all for the replies. I dunno, maybe 80 polyphony is enough, but in some cases at least I do have plans for some more complex songs with whole sets of strings/etc where I'm concerned (paranoia maybe?) about if it will be enough. I'm also highly turned off by an unfriendly UI. sigh. Re the ...

Should be easy to do with the onboard audio recorder: 1. Record your song. 2. Insert a formatted SD card. 3. Hit audio record setup. 4. Set the record mode to off. 5. Hit record 6. Hit audio play. 7. Hit sequencer play. 8. Wait until song is finished. 9. Stop audio recording. 10. Hit function. 11 ...

Recording using the Kross only....no AI required?

On another forum someone told me you need an AI for pretty much any keyboard to record and save to PC as you need the analog/digital conversion ability...but talking to a sales rep the other day, they said (for the Kross at least) that this is not true; I could hook up a Kross to a PC, record my ...

I think you misunderstood, I meant if you were doing just studio work, what keyboard would you select (in that price range).....

I have worked a bit with the sequencer and honestly I think it is pretty straight forward. Were I purely doing studio work I probably wouldn't choose the Kross Curious, given your liking of the sequencer (have you done any recording ie overdubbing etc?). What would you choose, assuming you're ...

MIDI is at its simplest just note on/off information (plus some other info piggybacked on) -- telling what you played, but not what you played it on . No sound is transmitted to your computer via MIDI. MIDI files can be played on a computer through a sound card (GM) or using a Virtual Instrument or ...

Hi again, If you're not too worried about the feel of the keybed then the other machine I was going to go for was the Roland fa08. It has a much larger display and full editing capabilities similar to a DAW. I didnt like the keyboard feel and knew i was going to end up using GarageBand as my DAW so ...

Thanks for the reply, but to clarify, since you seem to have gotten a misunderstanding of a couple things: I never called it "expensive." Only more than I was hoping to spend. :) Also I do not "look down" on DAWs, I simply don't want to mess with them if possible. But yeah I am pretty demanding ...
