a big hint that the news are actually true: kazuhiko gomi of roland usa just posted an old sp-1200 ad on the aira fb page. "wow, this is huuuge" (donald t.) my guess is the new roland sampler will model the converters. some of the above drum machines are 12-bit or 8 bit. The SP-1200 and MPC 60 were ...

BREAKING +++ New Roland Sampler/Workstation @ NAMM Show 2016

Roland has a new 16 Pad sampler/workstation coming and the ACB modeling features I told you about is nothing compared to the other features they're talking about for this new hardware. Anyone who's impressed with their MPC's, Maschines and Push 2's are going to lose their minds when the NAMM ...

Ah, thanks. I found it...

An interesting observation IMO: Both the Kronos and the Fantom G are more accurate than the Motifs regarding BPM calculation. Kronos and Fantom have two decimal places (e.g. 127,89 BPM), Motif XS/XF only one (127,9).

you can tap the tap-tempo button along with the song, and if you're accurate, it'll show the tempo realtime. OMG... yeah, I found something in the Parameter Guide... http://www2.pic-upload.de/img/28832061/kronos_bpm1.jpg So I have to manually tap myself in order to find out the tempo??? There is no ...

BPM detect: How can I determine the tempo of an audio clip?

Hi again, how does the Kronos work in that regard? For comparison: with the Motif XS/XF one is able to calculate the tempo of an audio loop. Once the length and time signature of the clip are known, its so-called Integrated Sampling Sequencer (ISS) can calculate the exact number of BPM in any audio ...

Wow, thanks a ton, guys! One follow-up question, if I may: Do your answers apply for all three Kronos models? you can import 24-bit samples (anything from 1 to 24, actually), and they are then converted to 16-bit. This is the same as the Roland FA, I believe. Yup, maybe. This is from the FA-06/08 ...

Can the Kronos import 24 bit WAV files?

A make-or-break question to me. I´m currently deliberating to purchase a Kronos. I´d like to use 24 bit loops from Loopmasters inside the board. For comparison: Roland Fantom G can´t import 24 bit WAV files, but Roland FA-06/08 can. Elektron Octatrack can, Roland SP-404sx can´t. Akai MPC 4000 can. Th ...

from the parameter guide: EVENT RECORDER When you record using the Event Recorder, the data is written to the KORG\electribe folder as a file named e_[number].e2ev. EXPORT P.SET AUDIO Using this function, patterns that are registered as a pattern set can be exported as WAV files. Specify the range ...
