Epica - Great string sounds

Trying to work out how the hell Coen Janssen from epica gets his keys to cut through so well without overpowering the vocals. I've got some great sounds loaded in for huge epic chords and crashes (along the lines of Sonata Arctica sounds) but as soon as I'm playing a fast melodic part it loses all ...

Assigning Pedals to functions

Hi guys, I've got myself two pedals for the kronos. I've been trying to work this out for a while and gave up! Is it possible to assign one pedal to sustain and another pedal to step through sounds in a setlist? I seem to be able to assign one pedal to one or the other but can never work out how to ...

KaPro Libraries Conflicting?

Hi guys, I've mailed Kapro but I figured someone else may have come across this... I've got a Kronos2 61 loaded with: EXS19 EXS45 EXS46 EXS138 However, it seems that I can either have EXS45 or EXS19 at any one time loaded (the others don't conflict from what I can tell). Anyone got any idea why this ...

If what you're asking is what I think then I've never found a way to do it.

I'm assuming that you want the drum track to play as a backing track and you be able to set it going and then switch between other sounds as you (and a band probably) play over the top?

You can sample your favorite NI sounds but you can't "port" the instruments like you would have, say, Massive available as an actual synth in the Kronos. I'm not an expert on metal sounds, sorry. Have you checked out the Korg shop? Pretty much everything has audible demos and the sample collections ...

I do that too :p but it doesn't exactly scratch the itch of having a bunch of new toys to play with does it ;)

Metal Sounds

Got the itch for some new sounds for the Kronos, I mostly play metal music and looking for new sounds. Not looking to spend a fortune though (max £200) as it's just to scratch the itch. Does anyone know if native instruments can be ported across? I don't like the idea of having a laptop on stage and ...

Nanopad2 + Kronos2 61 Mounting?

How have people mounted theirs? I've tried to find a way to fit it on the top but no matter how I orient it, it overlaps. I'm considering mounting it on the side of the keyboard but there's two possible drawbacks.. 1. I won't be able to see it 2. I'm worried that an adhesive velcro or something will ...

Essential sounds

Just got myself a new Kronos 2 61 (Yay! Joined the revolution etc..).

Just wondered if there were any essential sounds to add to the collection. I've generally play symphonic metal at the moment but I do like a bit of synthy lead from time to time :)

Kronos 2 & ProTools 10

Probably a bit of a weird one, I'm trying to record my Kronos into ProTools 10 over the USB (ease of setup for quick recordings) and I can't seem to find a way to get it to use it as the Audio Interface, instead it just wants to use the MBOX. For proper recording I would probably use SPDIF but I'm ...

Yes... Its freezing again!!

Had my korg m50 61 for around 5 years. In that time it's been back for repair 3 times for the same thing.. The sodding freezing issue. Its back again though and I'm really worried about the dreaded 'out of warranty' message back from korg. Now, I've been pushing for a replacement since the first ...
