but for true standalone there is no suitable replacement; unless roland drops this fabled acb sampler at winter namm (which I still belive exists)

Oh dear. That's a problem you will need to overcome yourself. Best of luck there. I did make some ok beats with it but the best way to overcome was by using a better tool; cos i honestly dont often make beats on the bus, train or plane, hotel , etc. make all my beats at home in close proximity to ...

with korg and most other companies its a take it or leave it approach to they products.

i also sold my sampler a few workflow frustrations deterred me and I dont wanna wait for korg decide to answer the petition.

imo minilogue is the best thing korg have done for a long time; the volca are cheap and cheerful but they are not great bits of kits but good bang for buck cheap units. I don't get why people so exited about minilogue. Yes, it is analog, it is polyphonic, but it does not sound good to my ears ...
