There's a huge list of suggestions and desired improvements previously compiled here: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=61868&highlight= . It might be worth delving through that list to accumulate other ideas. I certainly still want some of my suggestions implemented (setlist ...

You can get that PCG here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1orzvqUoucrMIdi1fUwEpDWJmQCjftn0_/view?usp=sharing This is a (near) complete image of my Kronos, except for program banks EE, FF, and GG - which contain sounds made by other people (online), and which I therefore didn't feel I could include ...

I use it for this purpose several times a month. I actually build a custom combi for every song. If you're interested, I can provide you with a .PCG with all these combis in case they match your needs. It's worth noting I typically use a set of midi pedals, a second keyboard controller, and a midi ...

RE: @highlandstudio91 - " In terms of optimization, all I would like to see,is Korg utilize flash memory,as Yamaha has done with their XF series.... :soundsgood" So, actually, all commercially available SSDs (including the one in the Kronos) *are* built on flash memory technology...but with ...

Oh, one other option for playing pads with a foot controller (or any other controller, for that matter) is the "Chord" function in Progs and Combis. It automatically transposes the pad chord based on the triggering note. It works pretty well for most cases if you select a source pad chord that uses ...

I use a Roland PK-5A for this, but any midi pedalboard should work. First, go to Global > Controllers/Scales > Controllers > Midi CC Assign and configure it to play each pad when it receives a midi note (or CC event) - for example, I configure pad 1 to be triggered by C-0, pad 2 by D-0, pad 3 by E-0 ...

To be clear, if the hammers are stuck in the same manner mine were, you wouldn't need to take the bottom off - just flip it upside down and see wiggling the keys cause them to come loose. Taking the bottom off is easy, though, and is exactly what a service center would do. If you've ever cracked ...

Transposing Pads
Does anyone know of a way to transpose transmitted midi notes before they're interpreted by the Kronos? This seems like something Karma might do, but if so, I haven't figured it out yet. My goal is to use my organ-style pedal board to play chords via the pads system. This is easy for a single key ...

The technical name for what you're after is "curve fitting" or (non-linear) "regression analysis."
Give this free web tool a try: https://mycurvefit.com/
You can explore different models by selecting from the "fit method" box.

There seem to be compatibility issues specific to using Novation controllers with the Kronos - see these threads:

24 bit Midi is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. The day someone samples a piano at 128 velocity levels is the day we might need to move on. For now 60,000,000 steps of variation is plainly ridiculous. Surely all keyboards lerp between samples using the full (7 bits) precision? Assuming ...

Like Geoff Flynn (above), I route pad sounds through one stereo pair, and leads/pianos through a second. This gives the live sound engineer a lot of freedom to adjust gain, eq, pan, etc. independently. One slight difference, however, is that I route pianos and leads to L/R (rather than 1/2) so they ...
