Haven't used the other synths so can't really compare. But, here's a REALLY useful guide to using dexed with the Volca FM: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/news/article.asp?id=129444 Do make sure you have MIDI kit (interface/cables etc) that's capable of sending sysex. Some useful pointers here: https ...

I use Cubase, so I don't know the exact routine in Logic, but I imagine it would be similar. .. So first i create an audio track and make sure the input is "input 1" from my soundcard (assuming that's where my volca is plugged in) Then I arm it to record. In Cubase this involves hitting a red circle ...

Which Volca. If it's one of the Mono ones (all except Sample) then use one of these cables: http://i.imgur.com/5hC3lTi.jpg Run it from the audio out (headphone jack) of your Volca and then put JUST ONE of the 1/4 inch jacks into Input 1 on NI Komplete Audio. If you're using the Sample (which outputs ...

Re: What is going on KORG???
Does it annoy the hell out of anyone else that Korg seem to have no interest in keeping their customers. Hahaha. That's a bit of a loaded question. FWIW, I own both a Circuit and a ES2. The Circuit update does make it far more versatile, but with only 4 drum parts available, it means my ES2 still ...

By the way... I see that the e2 uses a "strange" MIDI connection, can anyone tell me wth is that? I'm used to the 5 PIN MIDI connection http://i.imgur.com/rzLWFYg.jpg The Electribes use these ^^ (included) cables for MIDI - so despite the ports looking like headphone jacks, they are actually using ...

Some brands of laptop (HP and others I think) have "Beats By Dre" audio built in, which adds compression and EQ ("phatterising") to any audio playback. I know this has stopped sample transfer from working for some Volca users. There are various ways of deactivating it: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp ...

Volca FM and velocity
Hi all,
I read on another forum that the Volca FM doesn't respond to velocity - can anyone here confirm / deny this? Seems like a bit of an oversight if it's true.
