I spotted somewhere that it is the Fatar 40? But think there are 2 or 3 versions of that and not clear which.

No - as long as you are at 2.0 all should be fine to update to 3.0.0 (according to Korg!!!)

As Pete says Korg insist on OS2. I never bothered with 2.0.2 (or 2.2 whichever), its working from 2.0.1

Don't forget to clear your sample memory in addition to a 'Save All' -

This DISABLE ENABLE option is on page 946 of the manual, and it refers to linking to a personal computer (pc) using the USB host post on the rear of the Pa4X - uses a USB type B connector? These were common on printers.

Have you connected it to a pc?

If you copy all entries to a new (blank) Songbook then the Database must allocate new reference numbers and they would be the same numerically as the original.
