Hey I know I'm SUPER late to this thread from 9 years ago, but I have a DRS-1 that is in good shape and as far as I can tell it has presets in it.. However I'm in a pickle because it has no remote with it. I'm working on a solution for that, but if I can do a sysex dump I will definitely send it ...

Korg DRS-1 without remote. Sysex Editor possibilities?!

Hi there, I'm a long time Korg fan and user. My first Korg was a polysix in 1994 for $300 or so, but i was too much of a noob to know that the battery in it was a timebomb and within the year of me owning it, the unit was destroyed by acid leaking on the board.. though I must say, the sounds it made ...

well there is sample storage (RAM) which is volatile, but the global settings and various patches are part of some kind of flash memory.. if you customize one of the patches from the huge collection of banks.. those settings are permanently saved.. this is perfect if you use only built in wavs ...

I've never used a pedal with mine. i am surprised it's not saving that, but some systems don't always remember every setting. my Korg DW-8000 annoyingly doesn't remember omni off/on.. always on.. have to CC it off or manually do it.

Thank you so much for this response! It worked out.

I ended up using my OS9 G4 Mac to manage the unzip/file copying.. but I took your advise and let the Triton do the formatting of the three floppies.

2.5.3 showing. good stuff! :)

Thanks

Getting latest Version of OS for my 2002 Triton Classic

Hi there, I never updated my OS and i believe it has something like 2.0, but I've seen talk of 2.5 (with things like time stretching and beat slicing) and wonder if these features are available for the original triton or perhaps are only for later Triton generations. That said, I downloaded an ...

yea i have seen that time/date option also.. but i believe maybe what it is implying is that for people who format the disk.. a date is often possible and in this case they might offer the time/date option so when you go to format the disk it has an accurate date.. nothing more.

I ...

@Falcon2e, Thanks for responding! I never could find anything specific about it. This forum had no mention of "Battery" in the korg triton. To be clear mine was one of the original ones received in 2001 new. It is not a re-release or LE. The scsi option (now filled) and moss slot (still empty till i ...

Time to change the battery... where is the battery?!

Hi everyone, I got my Triton Classic (61 key, not LE) around 2001.. so it's been roughly 15 years and while I think it's running fine, I would like to be proactive about fixing the battery before it becomes a problem. I went ahead and opened up the sucker to see if it was visible. Unfortunately it ...

wow you're totally right! i never really paid much attention to it.. but i do have a 32mb and 16mb simm in there according to the bootup screen. At the time I guess I just assumed they were all for memory and like my other samplers like my peavey with a similar memory chip configuration.. So I just ...

wow that's far out. :) so is the system some how smart and just checks if a slot is ram or rom? i'm pretty sure that each of the chips in the slots are all being recognized by the system. When I put the ram in there it was when 72 pin was still popular so I was careful to pick the best ram ...

Thanks for responding. I know there are a lot of different flavors of triton but these 4 slots are all identical and look exactly like this: https://68kmla.org/forums/uploads/monthly_04_2014/post-1-0-20381400-1397978220.jpg I've never seen PCM sound cards that look like 72pin simms. Hey I know I'm late to this thread but can anyone confirm what kind of ram I need to make a full 64mb.. I currently have 48mb so I don't need all new chips I think.. I'm not sure how my configuration is exactly, but i appear to have all the slots filled up. slot 1 - chip with 2 chips on it slot 2 ...
