Cheers for the reply x-trade, some good points you made there, but for the last week or so i have been learning a load of C scales including major, minor , pure minor , harmonic minor , pentatonic scales and so on, in doing this i have three octaves to play with, so i think i will keep doing this ...

I have started to learn to play scales on my R3 , as the R3 is in C should i concentrate on playing C scales only ?

I am attempting to run freakoscope and my pc is asking what file i would like to open it with, i actually thought if i clicked on it it would just run.
can anyone help here ?

I just finished my first pass through the 100 or so patches in Welsh's Synthesizer Cookbook this weekend. I need to go back through them and tighten some of the values up a bit, but hopefully I'll have a bank to share soon. I am looking forward to it as i have programmed some of the patches myself ...

I am trying to figure out how long it takes for the attack to reach its maximum when the attack knobs are turned fully clockwise, i tried this using a sound editor and i got 23 seconds , has anyone else tried this or do they know the actual settings ?

Cheers for the advice lorz but i would never have thought of typing in "free oscilloscope" , although i did type in "free audio wave program", i was left baffled, and after messing about for a few days i approached this korg forum, for some sound advice from people that know about these things.

What a slow forum this is, as i have been inundated with responses for the same question on another forum.

when i first got my r3 i connected all the leads and a day later i disconnected the leads again, one of the leads was stiff so i pulled it out anyway, then when i went to connect the leads again, one of the jack plugs had nothing to connect into, it was just loose hole with no connection, i then ...

The 2 plugs are stuck and i dont want to force them out. It is a 8 plug loom i am using, they go in and out of all my other equipment easily enough.

The jack plugs going into the output of my R3 seem to be stuck, does anyone know why they are stuck? and how to release them?

I have an R3 And want to get some Fat Sounds out of it ,does anybody have any advice on the best way to do this , like sound synthesis advice . I am just using trial and error at the moment and getting so far , i realise what this machine is capable of , but i just have to get in to a way of working ...
