I tried this, but it doesn't work for controlling the effects. If i set the wet level of a reverb in the MFX to Ribbon (cc#16) and Amount to +100 it work by using the ribbon. Yes, That's a great tip! With some tweaking got it close enough.

Got my FC7. Great even distribution.
Much better than the EV5.
I will store my EV5 for any future upgrade that needs a Roland curve....
