Actually, there is one minor difference. The Red version has a better power adapter with a ferrite bead. I've owned both, and that was the only real difference I noticed.

With the updated firmware, both machines will load the samples much faster, which was a beef many had.

At the end of the day, I found it was best just to use one for master clock, so it'll send start/stop/tempo messages and that's it. If you just want to clock the two devices together, go into the global settings of the Electribe and turn on the midi send and receive filter. It will still send clock information, but won't send midi notes (or receive them). This is of course if you want to use the internal sequencer of both ...

I purchased a used electribe that was missing the midi breakout cables. They are the same midi cables that come with the Korg SQ1 sequencer. In Canada I can order this part at Long & McQuade which I did. The adapters worked flawlessly with my electribe 2.

Hey guys, I'm hunting for a compressor for my korg E2S. Something to help glue the sounds together. The only compressor I've used with the E2S was the FMR RNC... which I've had decent results... I'm just wondering if there are any other recommendations. It'll just be used on the stereo buss to help ...
