My solution: Install earlier MacOS to external HDD and use Startup Disk in System Preferences (or similar) to select what I want to use. I'm going to spin up a VM running El Capitan (where it was last known to work) and I'll post here with my results when I've done so.

Or is it just me? It opens fine but crashes and quits as soon as I try to do something in it. Anyone using it on Mac OS X Sierra?
