Updating Kaossilator Pro with the Kaossilator Pro+ firmware
Hi All, I own a Kaossilator pro, and was wondering what were the differences between the Kaoss Pro and the Pro+ ? I know that more patches are available, but are hardware really differents ? I tested to update the 1.04 of the pro+ in the pro (1.02 is the last firmware). I was able to update ...

Yes, you can play chromatically each sample, but you need an external midi remapper like this one based on an Arduino, a very low cost solution .
This not a native feature of the Volca Sample.

The issue is the Volca sample needs 10 midi channels for "patterning"...I mean if you want to play the part1 sound, you need to send a note to the MIDI channel 1, part 2 channel 2, and so on...
You can use an Arduino based remapper to use only the channel 10 or buying a special cable.

With that, you can use channel 10 for main track and other channels for tweaking. I do it !!

Hi. Did the same (from scratch), with the channel 10 for all parts also with an Arduino + Midi shield. Added also a kaossilator cc to midi notes embedded.

Just buy a midi out splitter cable . That costs less than 10 euros. Plug the splitter cable in the MIDI Out of the Kaoss Pad, and the 2 outs of the splitter to the Kaossilator MIDI IN and the first Volca sample MIDI IN. Alternatively, you could could use the MIDI out mod on the Volca Sample to send ...

Hi. The MIDI out mod is working perfectly, but you can't read the current state of controller values you set with the Volca sample knobs. The knobs simply don't send anything. You can however send CC values to set it externally (e.g. from your DAW). You can also use a midi mapper based on Arduino ...

Hello. I did the same Also with an Arduino + a MIDI shield. An inexpensive solution. I have also included in the same code a Kaossilator controler, allowing to play notes wiht a midi keyboard.

Or check that also based on an Arduino. Velocity is mapped to CC Volume channel because the Vocal doesn't support velocity. So you have to adjust the volume with the main potentiometer.... http://techiesexpedition.blogspot.fr/2016/11/volkaoss-vk-midi-controller-for-korg.html http://techiesexpedition ...

I can confirm that the full range is unusable. 4 octaves is perfect.
