Yea. It sucks. To me it sounds like there is a ground loop in the power supply. I could be wrong, but it sounds like it. Someone could possibly track it down if they knew what they were doing.

The "songs" you are referring to are actually called Electribe patterns. That's what Korg language calls them at least. The Electribe will allow you to export or import an all patterns file. I wouldn't say that the Electribe 2 and 2s are dead in the water, but it is apparent that Korg are not giving them much priority.
