other possibility is that you have run out of polyphony and a sound is getting cut off because enough sounds are being trigger at the same time. try selecting the channel that is being cut off and in the menu turn part priority to high. if the sound starts to play, then your job is half done. now ...

not while editing i dont think. you can use step jump to manually repeat bar 2 for example, but not while editing just for playback. you could plan ahead with a new song you make by making a new project for every bar and then chaining them together. something to experiment with
