Y-Splitter
Hi,
Im about to buy a second Volca and want to control them via midi. Can I simply use a midi y-splitter cable and set the Volca's to different channels? Will that work?
I have a Steinberg UR44 interface with 1midi in/out.

Not sure exactly if its the problem but the cables are important. You should use mono cables not stereo on your interface. You only use the stereo jacks if the equipment you are hooking up is Balanced. I bought these and they work without probs. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00TSA1RFA/ref=oh ...

Hi, I have the same setup. First of all don't plug it in to the MIC/Hi-Z inputs. In the manual it says not to put line level instruments/synths in to there. I use line 5 and 6 for my Volca. In the UR44 mixer there is an option to configure the gain between “+4 dBu” and“-10 dBV”. Toggle that to see if ...

On Win8 there is a sticky notes app. It creates re-sizable post-it note floating on the desktop. I write my programs in there and the notes stay on your desktop after reboot. I also have a second sticky note with the midi numbers in case I need to assign them. Im sure you can do a similar thing on ...
