Crazy trick I tried on my ER-1 mk2

I went walking to the store & I see a pile of trash by the side of the road. Books, cd roms, a busted hi fi amp, but I spotted a Pioneer dual tape deck. Had no idea if it worked or not. But I took it home. I pulled out a tape to see if it worked, but I didn't see a headphone out. What to do to see ...

I'm on the fence on getting the new tribes, and it somewhat makes sense to for slaving all of my Volcas to them, but I'm unsure if I want to do all the menu diving, and not all that much is telling you what does what just by looking at it. Might just keep waiting tbh.

I can wait on a better working one. I'd be fine with a ES-1, but I really want a ESX that didn't look like it needed a paint job, LCD screen replaced, and I want the buttons working. If it means I pay more, fine.

Saw a ESX yesterday

I went to a area of Seattle I haven't been to in awhile. Walked into their local pawn shop, and spotted a ESX for $250. I asked to try it out of course. I noticed it's paint job was a little faded in its red, and once we hooked up the power supply, I plugged in headphones, hit play.... And I noticed ...

Em-1 has more FX to process its rompler sounds, but also loses the audio in feature. Also, you can pitch the drum sounds high or low speed giving you a bit of flexibility even if it is sample based. ER-1 can do weird R2D2 chirps or squigels if you experiment with the knobs for a bit. So you can ...

I think they're worth money now! Especially the MK2 of the originals. No, they're never going to be worth the insane amounts of cash the Roland classics are worth, but I'm sure those that know the sounds you can get from the early Electribes will surely want them in their studio. I think that's one ...

I'd say get all 4 original Electribes, or the 3 mk2s & have the EM-1 be the odd looking one, and at least then you can include a piano patch in with the 3. But hey at least you can really have fun with the 3!

Well I keep coming back to this synth, and this will be my 4th. But now that I've got it for $80, I won't be selling it. I'm thinking of getting a EA-1 mk2 a bit later since they go for twice the price of the original EA-1, and then I could get 2 EA-1s pumping out twice the bass in stereo!

I'll admit, I have a love/hate relationship with this Electribe. I just ordered my 4th EA-1 since my EMX is in the pawn shop, my Er-1 mk2 was lonely, because I could pay for it on credit, and because it's like a old girlfriend you sometimes can't get along with, but I keep coming back to. And for ...
