Sequencer -> Electribe ESX. MIDI Control Change & FX
I have an Electribe ESX-1 SD. For various reasons I currently need to use an old, simple sequencer software called SEQ24 . I want to sequence changes in the FX settings of the ESX-1 parts. It seems I managed to do it, but I'm still a bit confused. I've assigned 3 different MIDI channels to Drum Part ...

Re: Volca FM Programming Guide
I've put together a programming guide for the Volca FM since Korg did not put out any information on programming it. This guide was created with the help of the DX7 manual, but is specific to the Volca FM. Let me know if anyone finds it useful and/or give constructive criticism. Here is a link to ...

Re: Volca FM Feature Request! (KORG please read this)
Is it at all possible to incorporate a step mode? remember that you can work around the lack of a real step mode by using Active Step: - disable all active steps except the first one - start recording - insert the desired note(s) - disable the first active step; enable the following one, and so on ...

And I had some extra noise coming from a Microbrute. I just had to open the unit and shift one of the cables a bit and it was gone If I had unexpectedly loud noise from more than one instrument, I'd make sure the root cause isn't in the local environment. Electric interferences are always possible ...

tl;dr: it's by design. This dialogue between Richard D. James (Aphex Twin) and Tatsuya Takahashi (ex Korg engineer) was enlightening to me. I found the whole interview to be incredibly interesting. RDJ: with the volca fm, you also managed to turn the lack of velocity per note into a bonus [again ...

Quite fascinating to update your hardware by using... .WAV files! I'd like to learn more about those 1.03 changes: "Fixed EG4 implementation" and "Fixed edit range of Key Velocity Sense". Does anyone know what exactly changed? It seems that my Volca FM is running an even newer firmware (1.04). Such ...

According on my needs I use 1) Dexed (VST plugin) 2) DX7 Bank Individual Patch Extractor (and sender) (HTML tool by Retrokits) 3) FMFriend (HTML tool by Foldplop) 1) Dexed is a great VST plugin that allows you to - create/edit patches in a neat, visual way - rename patches and organize them in banks ...
