Holding a key down is silly, you don't get use of the EG that way. Running a sequence through the monologue is neat, but limiting. If you want something really unlimited, hook up to a DAW and record longer sequences that can sync to the audio. You can convert audio to MIDI, and tweak it and run it ...

Monologue Power Supply

Just a heads up, this power supply is hard to find in person (impossible?). I ordered a generic power supply from KVGear, but he didn't mention that he was out of stock and on backorder, and I didn't get word until 9 days late. He basically told me it would take 3 weeks to receive from ordering. The ...

This works fine for me, so it must be a personal problem. Can you please post a screen shot of your options screen on the midi tab? I have a feeling you're thinking it should be in the controllers list, but you'll only see it in the midi inputs list at the bottom since there is no map in Ableton for ...

This is in the manual, page 3 (Block Diagram). Audio is going between the VCO and VCF. The VCO can be at whatever volume you want to blend with the audio input. You don't need to play a sequence, sound is coming through as long as sound is getting through the envelope. I don't see the point of ...

Use Ableton. Have midi notes in a clip. Assign a range to that MIDI clip. Now you have a transposed step sequencer. In Ableton you have basically unlimited loop length and unlimited automation recording control, so this is far more capable than the monologue. Also menu diving on the monologue is a ...

This is from a reddit post. I'm going to try this and report back. It would be good if Korg had some instruction regarding the issue of MIDI ports in Windows since this isn't handled automatically. https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/2wtawg/help_korg_r3_usb_midi_not_working/ Don't use the ...

Monologue - All Dump, Sound Librarian, and Drivers

Korg Driver Issue: you must have the driver installed somewhere between midi0 and midi9 on your PC. If you're installed on midi10 or higher, the monologue won't recognize the driver. If you change where you're plugging your USB cable into your PC, you'll also need to reinstall the driver. 1 ...
