Interestingly I think same and squeezing out usable patches from the limited Minilogue was much fun. That´s also the feeling I now have, chosing the XD over Prologue.

Minilogue XD in certain areas better than Prologue?

Some months ago I was going for the Prologue but sent it immediately back because of it´s tuning problems e to f#. Now Minilogue appears and I might go for it instead of the Prologue. 4 voices are very limiting, the slim keys I accept only because of the form factor but I just realized two facts ...

Comparing raw oscillator sounds Minimoog vs. Kross 2

I wondered, how bad Kross 2 PCM multisample Saw-MG3 compared to the Behringer Model D (Minimoog clone) is.

I´d say they are very close.

Seems, more the drift of the analog VCOs and the ladder filter make the difference.

I´ll get my 8 voice next days, let´s see if it might be one of the exeptions. I´m sorry to say, it was no exemption, #950 to 1000. Every keystroke a new tuning and sound (at triangle and square) between E and F#. You don´t need a tuner, it´s very audible, useless for my recordings. Sent back, I mail ...

Just read about a reaction to the issue (Gearslutz forum) This is what Korg are saying (officially) as of today about the tuning issue... Quote: We have seen some reports of a slight detuning on an isolated range of keys, which Korg Inc.'s engineers are now investigating. Korg stands behind our ...

Very nice!.....except that I´m fed up by the "Bladerunner sound". Don´t know why everyone needs to copy a simple sound made of a simple synth of the 70ties, instead of creating new, more complex, creative sounds. Sound-wise it reminds me of Minilogue, with a brilliant sawtooth, which gives a m ...

Korg Kross 2 vs. Krome trial results

Because of Korg´s workstation price reduction I´ve spent some days studying the differences between Kross 2 and Krome. Here are some details: Pianos, organs, strings etc. sound more Hi-Fi and dynamic at the Krome. Many of these paches benifit of the additional 3-band EQ but unfortunately that´s lost ...

Here´s an update.
German Korg support confirmed the issue and told me to report it.
By the way, Krome don´t have that issue even using the same sample "Saw".
So maybe it could be repaired by a firmware update?

You´re welcome, I´m more the Vintage 80ties sound guy, often today´s factory patches are more Techno and whatever, that´s why I´m used to edit my own patches and am happy, when they are useful for colleagues.

On each movie it sounds bit different. The keyboard player also changes to a brass sound often. Maybe you can use my version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q38eseo07wi2msa/Pressure%20Me%20Lead.PCG?dl=0 Copy the .pcg file on the SD card, select it and go right, go to PROGRAMS - Bank UB - Prg 072 ...
