Hi,
As usual the answer is quite simple... All I had to do was save the program linked to the kit as a DRM/SFX type and the ringing stopped. I won't forget that in a hurry.
Solution posted in the hope that my agitation, anger and stupidity can be channeled to help someone else in the future.

OK, the .SNG file was a false flag. I reinitialized, loaded the programs and drum kits and edited one again from scratch. I've added some 2nd samples to kick and snares with cross fade settings, copied some key setups to other keys (not the problem ones) and at some point the ringing issue has just ...

Drum samples ring forever
Hi, I'm editing a Drum Kit in the Global settings... and something isn't right. Most sounds are fine but toms and cymbals ring forever. The weird thing is that I have been working on the kick, snare and hi hat so I haven't actually edited any of them and they should be as they were in the preset ...

Hi All, I now see what I was doing wrong. I was trying to edit the Tempo Track from the 'S-Track Edit' page and I could not understand how I could see the track at the bottom of the page but not select it. I now realize that I have to go to 'Event Edit' (for any of the other tracks) and THEN select ...

Thanks OpAmp, You're right, my tempo was set to 'Manual' so I set the record click going and set it to 'REC'. I hit play and let the pre-count finish before stopping the recording. The manuals seem to suggest this will record the time signature and tempo. However, I then set it to 'AUTO' and went to ...

Update: It seems there is some truth in what you are both saying about this. If I set track 10 to a drum kit but record the drum track's start and stop on another track I can do an 800 bar test song using just under 1% memory. All that is recorded are 2 <<EXCL>> events although I am suspicious that ...

Sequencer - Can't edit Tempo Track
Hi again, I've been using the sequencer to record backing tracks (mainly drums and bass parts) for live performances. I was trying to slow the tempo down in the last bar as per the recorded version of the song I'm doing. I went to track edit to Create/Erase Control and added what I thought was a 1 ...

Sequencer Memory Limit
Hi, Page 55 of the Op guide says that the Kross2 sequencer has a limit of 216k MIDI events over a maximum of 128 songs. My questions are how Drum Tracks and ARPs and song sections work within this storage limit. 1. If I use a Drum Track or ARP in a sequencer song then do all those individual drum ...

MIDI CC's - ARP, Drums and Step Seq
Hello once again, I'm pretty new to the whole MIDI thing as I am, ordinarily, a guitarist... That said, I have got the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI control pedal thing talking to the Kross and all seems OK so far. My question is this: Is it possible to send a MIDI message that will start and/or stop the ...

Righto. At least that'll stop me wasting any more time looking for something that doesn't exist. The ability to send a MIDI note-on message when a combo is changed would seem to be all that is needed and it's a shame such a simple thing isn't an option. Best I've managed is to get a foot controller ...

Is there a way to maintain beat thru combo or prog changes?
Hi all, While it seems there are a number of ways to create drum patterns on the Kross (viz. Drum Track, Arp and Step Sequencer), all of these seem to default to 'off' when you change a program or combination. Has anyone found a way to keep ANY beat going thru a combo or prog change without having ...

UPDATE OK. So I think I was using the Modify Velocity function before but hadn't thought it through. This might work... To make all notes a bit louder I set Curve to 1 (a straight line) and the Start and End both to 127 (max). The tricky part is the INTensity which would not change anything if set ...

Modifying chunks of sequenced data
Hello again. Sequencer Track-Edit stuff, this time. Example, I have repeated a 4-bar drum pattern several times to cover verse and chorus. This pattern has notes of varying loudness (velocity). What is the easiest way (or any way) of increasing the velocities for the pattern in the chorus to make it ...
