I don't know what kind of editing you want to do but I use a program from PG Music called Power Tracks. You can even load the PA sounds into this program. Load the midi song into Power Tracks and edit what you want, save it on a USB drive and then into your Korg.

When I load the song into the SEQ, change the GM sounds to Korg sounds and then save it to a USB drive all is well. When I load that saved midi song from the USB drive and play it in the Song Mode it goes back to the GM sounds.

I am saving all of the fixed midi tracks to a USB drive and playing from that. So far playing in the SEQ mode has been working. It lets me play what every instrument, EP, Organ on Track 1. I just have to raise the volume up to 127 and go into the EQ settings to get a bit of a boost.

If they are put into the SongBook can the midi GM instruments be changed to Korg Sounds like in the Seq mode?

Okay the only problem with the SEQ mode is it won't let me choose the 4 presets I have set up to play along with the song. So is there a way to do that? I've been playing all of my Midi songs in the Song mode which allows me to choose one of the 4 presets on the screen.

Thanks Reuben. The mistake I was making is that I was in the SONG mode not the SEQUENCER MODE. Now I can change it to any instrument, save it and it stays.

Thanks for sending me the files but they are GM sounds. I am trying to use my Pa4x sounds not GM. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks I will send you the midi file. I use a Program called PowerTracks by PG Music. I can open this song in that program and see all of the midi information. At the start of the song is controller 7 which is the volume followed by the pan which is 64, then some reverb and chorus, nothing else ...

First off thanks for the reply. I am not trying to add a new midi track to the song. So for example on track 4 of my midi song is a GM Acoustic guitar. It does not sound so good. I just want to replace that GM Acoustic Guitar with one of the Korg Factory or Legacy Acoustic ones but when I click on ...

So is this impossible?

Is it possible on a song with all midi tracks to change lets say the GM Steel guitar to a Legacy Korg Steel guitar? If so, would someone please tell me how to step by step?

I wish Korg would have given us separate outputs, not L&R but L OR R. I can't use the onboard TC Helicon when I play live because I have my channel 1 go out to the Bass amp and Channel 2 go to another amp for drums. I'm left with just L&R.
