I am 99% sure it can be controlled that way. Plug in a switch pedal in back. Go to Global /controllers. Look in the pick list for that pedal, you will see various CC #'s/choices. DT is in there. You don't have to keep KARMA off. That would cancel your bass lines, rhythmic melodies, chord patterns etc. You can assign the drum track to play on only particular scenes, while KARMA drum patterns are off. Now go back to Global- press the MIDI tab. See Drum Track Midi setup section. What Program Midi Channel is selected?
I believe I overlooked this question earlier. The Drum Track MIDI Setup indicates MIDI channel 10.

Back to your Combi. See your Kit in midi channel 10.
Check.

For Channel 10, the drum kit is in Global Channel or Gch
Correct.

However, midi channel 1 has a piano pointed to 01G.
Correct.

Change this out of 01G. pick 2 or 3 or whatever.
I selected MIDI channel 2 - Done.

Confirm you are pointing it to midi channel 10.
Done.
