Gadget 2 Collaboration

I use Gadget 2 on the iOS, and would like to remotely collaborate on tracks with a friend. Here are my questions:

1. Is this possible? If so, what is the best workflow?
2. If I have bought additional synth/plugins within the app, will these not work if my friend has not purchased them?1
