That's encouraging to know that there is some leeway with this. To be honest,I've not really studied my own Kronos memory status, all my current libraires are loaded and work well. I doubt any more will be added as I've moved onto Vi Software libraries, which are used in conjunction with the Kronos ...

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it. Ok by following your steps I have a lot of memory available now but how will that help me when I load back all of these KSC files I'll be back to where I was. If it is a ram issue can this be upgraded? I am sure there are many kronos users with far more ...

I'll join GregC with another guess... It may be related to the KSC loading which affects the memory usage etc. Perhaps de-selecting some could facilitate the new one. The following link shows one of many videos that show a basic library installation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v ...

Is your shiny new 2nd SSD Korg formatted ? Assuming there is zero data on it it appears you found an angled SATA cable Hi Greg The drive was formatted on the Korg. Yes the drive is empty except for the one EXs on it. This EXs was already on the original internal drive but I couldn't complete the ...

Bought the iCAN SATA3-6G-24RR. Worked perfectly for my K2-88. 8) Yes that is exactly what I'm looking for, 24in (60cms) with two 90 degree angled ends. Unfortunately they don't send to NZ. I tried ordering on their website. It's a Canadian only Company. Thanks again KK. Amazon sellers offer a ...

Why do you need Rgiht/Right angle Sata cable ? All people I know, who has added a second SSD, just used classical one right angle Sata cable. I've added a second SSD on my K73. I didn't get any problem with a normal Sata cable. It worked fine. Another point : are you sure that a 60 cm cable is ...

Sata cable for SSD drive

Hi All As mentioned on a previous thread I am adding an extra SSD drive to my Kronos. I have come across a hurdle. The space inside the Kronos is very restricted. I am needing a 60cm Sata cable that has a 90 degree angle at both ends preferably, or one 90 degree end with a very short straight end at ...

I am not familiar with anyone else's tutorial, so my recommendation is keep it simple. This Korg video link explains most of what you need to know to do a backup : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sXuKiQnSm4 The Kronos is basically a computer even though the Disk mode is a bit tricky at first. To ...

Backing up the Kronos

Hi all, I am putting a second SSD internal drive into my Kronos. Before I do this I want to back everything up, haven't done this before. Following a Youtube video by Qui Robinez I created a 3rd party folder so as to load imported files I purchased from the Korg shop. In his video Qui loads his ...

Re: Size of second SSD drive for Korg Kronos 2

There's many brands to choose from and the prices vary enormously so I imagine not all SSDs are created equal. Obviously I want something good that will last. Yep, treat your Kronos with good components. I chose Samsung 860 EVO - excellent quality and fast performance. Bought two, a 500 GB for my 8 ...
