Re: Everything I know about the Oasys RH2 Keybed
Some of you may have seen my Firstly, the RH2 keybed is made by Fatar. Specifically I believe it is a Fatar TP-40. A small correction. According to the OASYS Service Manual, the OASYS 88 (RH2) keybed is a Fatar TP-31 w/ Aftertouch. My understanding is the keybed is a custom design for Korg (i.e ...

Re: OASYS Unresponsive touchscreen
Is this some kind of somewhat well known procedure or is it some random thing you tried that just happened to work?narf wrote:This happened before about a year ago and I fixed it by pressing enter and 0 while it boots up. Now even that doesn't work.

Everything I know about the Oasys RH2 Keybed
Some of you may have seen my other thread in which I described the manner in which my Oasys, upon overhearing my plans to sell it for a Kronos, decided to kill itself to become unmarketable. The response wasn't very exciting, as you see, but I did end up fixing the keyboard, and in the hours long ...

Argh! Broken key on Oasys 88
I have a key on my Oasys that is working intermittently, and when it works it is almost always at velocity 127. It feels the same as the rest but something must be awry. Has anyone worked on the keybed of one of these things? The last time I worked on a keybed was on my old EX5, but hopefully I can ...

Heh, I'm mostly going for Yes stuff, around the Fragile era and beyond. I have done what I think is a reasonable job with the Tony Kaye Hammond sound, but I'm trying to make stuff to match the later albums with Rick. While there's a lot to be said about the unique Moog synth sounds that Rick used, a ...

Yes / Rick Wakeman Sounds
Hey. I wonder if anyone else here is a Yes fan like me and has tried to program any Yes-like patches?
The last time I tried I was messing with the song "Awaken" from the Going for the One album, but I didn't get far.

Success! I robbed 1 GB out of a Pentium 4 desktop and it isn't screwing up anymore! Heh, I always meant to get around to upgrading it but I just never went and did it. As for a hardware problem damaging memory, I don't think that is the case. My Oasys is over three years old, and there's a three ...

Thanks Dan for all your ideas and suggestions here. Also, indeed it does sound sort of like a microphonic tube in a way! Interesting, no? Not to jump to conclusions, but I think I've determined what may be the problem. As an independent IT consultant and hobbyist Hammond Organ fixer by a few nights ...
