You will need some type of midi interface to connect your laptop to the EMX. Cheap USB to midi cables are available, but more pricey modules are availble if you plan to expand the number of midi devices to be controlled on stage. It is not possible to control the EMX from your laptop without a midi ...

Hey Ruso, I was just thinking about buying a Radias but your comments tend to make me rethink the purchase. Why don't you like it and what other synths around that price range would you recommend (since you seem to know what your talking about)? I've only got a EMX currently as a synth (and a KP3 ...

Connect the midi out from the padkontrol to the midi in on the EMX. On the padkontrol you need to ensure that pads are set for the right midi channel. I don't have my padkontrol with me now but you should be able to find it in the manual. Drums are channel 10, synth parts 1-5 are midi channels 1-5 ...

Yes you are missing something completely. Read the manual. Page 75. Write protect is turned on. You must turn it off. Press the global button, then the down arrow to get to 'Protect'. Then turn the knob to get to 'off', then the 'write' button, then the 'write' button again. Protect should be turned ...

Not sure if this a problem, but after a quick search it looks like NZ voltage is at 230V, 50Hz and Tonga is at 240V, 50Hz. These voltages are pretty close so it likely isn't a problem, but check the power adapter for the MX and it should have 'input' written on it specifying the input voltage (or ...

Hello All
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Scott and I am from Vancouver, BC, Canada. I had been reading these forums for a few months now and find that they are probably the best source of 'unofficial' Korg information. Currently owned gear: Korg Electribe EMX-1 Korg KP3 Korg padKontrol Oxygen ...

I tried this. It did not seem to make any difference at all. Also, I don't think you need to remove the 'larger' board to gain access to the CN2 ribbon as mentioned. Just remove the back of the KP3, then remove the smaller board (the one with the headphone/microphone jacks and volume knobs). This ...

How different is the Radias compared to the EMX
Hello all, I own an Electribe EMX-1 and love it. Unfortunatley this little box has made me want to buy another more powerful synth. The Radias looks good but I am concerned that since both the Radias and EMX use the same MMT synth engine, I would end up with two very similar sounding synths. Does ...
